Play videos of the Arnold Schoenberg Six Little Piano Preludes and beginning of A Survivor from Warsaw, and all the works of the day provoke spirited discussion. Finally, chance-realize a Prime 12-Tone Row from student suggestions and derive the Retrograde, Inversion, and Retrograde-Inversion (alluding briefly to rival Igor Stravinsky's late usage of Inverted Retrogrades).
