Library, almost satisfactorily studying Charles Ives's Holidays Symphony: The Fourth of July Finale, but more successfully coming to terms with Sergei Prokofiev's Hamlet, Op. 77, No. 1 ("The Ghost of Hamlet's Father") and Dmitri Shostakovich's Hamlet, Op. 32 -- and, voila!, also learn that, while the latter is farcical, DS returned seriously to the subject with a
score to Grigori Kozintsev's 1964 Hamlet, as his
Op. 116. so,
will definitely have to check that out next time... 75th day of summer, high again cooler at 84, re-reviewing the
William Walton / Lawrence Olivier Hamlet (1948). Oh, yes, and finish designing teh postcard -- front and back... with Harriet's challenging and very helpful input -- for
