August 9 - Inter Infernos

Wake up to news of the Silver Fire (no information as to whence the name, or who and on what authority bestows it) raging on either side of Riverside 243 (a southern perimenter to Poppet Flat Road -- appropriately taking the name from the singular of the US Geo Topo), traversed three times last week, in the similar interval after the Mountain (ditto) to the south.

All this only seven years after the Esperanza debacle of 2006 -- fire ecosystem, indeed...

On the home front,

to

Novato Toyota (temporarilly relocated to the adjacent Kia) scheduling standard maintenance,

then a long,

crazy pull back:

Atherton

and

Novato Boulevard,

past

the largest

California bay trees on the planet,

the

artificial

Stafford

Lake,

isolated oaks,

Hicks

Valley

on

the

Barns

with

Enlightening

movies at home with Harriet, the tension of the guest atmosphere mercifully subsiding a bit (a call to a youngster north has evidently effected change amongst the reverse heirarchy of these almost-relatives), with a seventh page done for the performance edition of The Twelve Fingers: XII. March, and an eighth score-study system re Kurt Weill's String Quartet No. 1: I . -- high 82 again (continuing this trend of similar-digit days) on the 138th day of summer (San Rafael analogue, 78).
