January 2 - Pilgrimage

By the first,

frosty light --

make the way down

80 in increased brightness,

right

at

37,

over

the

foggy

bottoms

near Sears  Point,

on

Petaluma Plain.

past

Red Barn,

in view of

Mt. Burdell and

Big Rock Ridge,

left at 101...

rendezvousing at

Carolyn's with Crystal,

for our second seasonal walk,

lingering at Crestwood Rock,

then

through the

Terra Linda /

Sleepy Hollow /

Open Space

Divide to

Plateau Hill,

where we stand for well nigh an hour in the chill,

continuing to chat about life, the Universe, and Harvard --

long enough that, as on a distant orb, one side is hot, the other cold.

Turning

about

for

the

reversal

of the journey,

we wind up again at the pancake spot (several patterns here) for even more discourse,

and once more about five hours fly by in toto.

The whirlwind continues homeward

through

Sonoma

and

Solano (field and

fountain,

moor

and

mountain),

briefly to yonder medical center --

oh then to Harriet, the wonder of finishing up a run of documentaries with Werner Herzog's Wheel of Time, while sketching Double Piano Concerto: III, 27.
