peaks
beckoning,
ascending to Kyburz
and
Strawberry,
Lover's Leap,
Pyramid Canyon,
over Echo Summit,
and
down
Meyers
Grade,
past
Washoe Meadows to
South Lake Tahoe --
lunching with
Harriet at a
recently compromised establishment --
then
proceeding ahead for our visit with
Megan,
who is
re-establishing herself in the
area.
After many plans
and
a
stroll,
we scout out future possibilities,
then do a turnaround
crosstown'd
to
the
downs,
up the
Grade towards
Flagpole Peak,
hugging
the
ridge,
with
views
alternating
intimate and
expansive,
down the long slope,
in view of Horsetail Falls,
Lover's Leap and
Pyramid Cliffs,
Kyburz and
Sugarloaf,
the Mid-Sierra
Burn by the
South Fork American River,
ultimately
to the
Valley again,
and
homeward to compose a second page of The Decameron - Fourth Day: Novel I.
