his place to theirs,
listening to Double Piano Concerto ("Fellow Travellers"): II and
work-in-progress re III,
then
further
out,
eventually
west
on
10
(Yucaipa
Canyon and
Grade),
northwest
210,
Mt. San Gorgonio
above the Santa Ana River,
curving in the vicinity of Highland and
San Bernardino,
to the
open country
of
215,
narrowing
in
again
at
15,
exploring
the
Cajon
Canyon,
flanked by the San Gabriels
and
San
Bernardinos,
ultimately returning for the Thanksgiving feast, communing with Harriet along the way -- thereafter, beginning the long drive back north, on yet-again-what-we-must-speculate as truly being the last day of the year for summerlike temperatures (228 of season): high 71 (but lamentably only 62 locally Southern Californially!)
