Lab time thereafter and lunch locally, beginning the Theoretical grading process,
then
blitz(stein?)
homeward
under
beautiful
blustery
billows,
for the fiery composition of the sixth page of Hamlet,
finishing off a re-reading of Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny Opera (1928, in the Eric Bentley 1963 Grove translation that echoes Blitzstein's brilliant lyrics for stunning Kurt Weill music, and a fantastic forward by Lotte Lenya) -- and begin composition of The Well-Tempered World, Op. 214, with I. In C Major.
Additionally, catch up emails including a nice letter from Cathy Stout, whose daughter is touring Thailand --
rather than experiencing this 64th day of a Northern Californian summer, high of 75 -- and send out the rehearsal schedule for tomorrow's Opus 5 rehearsal.
