Down to DVC,
the warm sun at our backs,
open to the world,
supreme pleasures,
through Franklin Canyon's flowery bowers and piercing blue skies,
errands and lunch,
working
on
music
in the DVC lab to the sound of a lovely vibraphone quartet (in the hallway adjacent!),
homeward
for
a
hike
with
Harriet
in
Lagoon Valley
Park
from the southern entrance,
north to a miniscule bridge (connecting up with a walk some time ago),
where
water
warblers and
other visitors have much to say.
Reversing
course,
we
backtrack
to
point
of
origin,
taking
Rivera Road towards the
North
Lagoons,
wending our way
to
Joe's Creekside Cafe
for an al fresco happy session,
then back to the residence, in counterpoint with Bernard Herrmann's Jane Eyre (1944, Orson Welles) score, to compose more Decameron - Third Day: VIII (page 27), finish score study of the Benjamin Britten Phantasy introduction, and send out parts of same.
